Monday Motivation
12 05 2008This is a time of the year that is particularly hard for students; it’s tough to concentrate on doing well on final exams and papers when graduation and summer is literally right around the corner. This is also a time of anxiety about what the future holds (personally I’m feeling a bit anxious about getting my first clients so I can be ready to go once I graduate, but I’m not worrying about it–I’m trusting that something will pull through for me).
The same can apply to fitness. You know that you need to eat healthier, or that you want to look your best in your summer clothes, but concentrating on what you need to do can be difficult when there are a million other things going on in your life. This can lead to frustration and even quitting, perpetuating the unhealthy cycle that got you where you are today.
The following quote fits into the theme of this month for me: the law of attraction. My other two posts on this topic featured videos about this principle, but now I want to share a quote with you to think about and apply to your day.
“Your mental attitude is something you can control outright, and you must use self-discipline until you create a positive mental attitude–your mental attitude attracts to you everything that makes you what you are.” Napoleon Hill

I SO BELIEVE IT.
I *so* try to live it.
What a great quote. I’m work on my self-discipline daily.
Mizfit: The same applies to me! I try to live it everyday; alas, we’re not perfect!
Lisa: I admire self-discipline; maybe that’s why I’m so fascinated with the military and the martial arts. It’s great that you work on self-discipline daily. I wish more people would do that!
This is a great quote. I’m a student going through finals and I can definitely relate to and use this quote. It reminds me of a project I am working on at work. Here’s some information about it, if you would be interested in blogging about it. It’s a pretty cool book.
I am working right now to promote a book, Soul Discovery: 9 Principles for Revealing Your Sacred Gifts. Author Joan Marie invites people to “dance with their soul,” and changes lives as she awakens her readers to their true life’s purpose and their soul’s sacred gifts.
Joan Marie is a very popular medium and has been a guest on numerous radio and television shows across the country, like the Whoopi Goldberg Show. Whoopi Goldberg has even endorsed her book, saying “Sometimes, people are just born with “it”. They can hear your voice and be able to tell you all about yourself. Joan Marie seems to be able to tap into that thing that makes us all human. I’ve been around her; I’ve seen her do her thing”. If you would like to learn more about heightening and developing your intuition, email me at chelseasterling@gmail.com to review the book on your blog. After you review the book, you will receive a free teleseminar with Joan Marie and get an opportunity to get personal advice.
Have a great day!
Love that quote. Nice and inspiring for the beginning of the week!
Yep. This quote just became one of my favorites!
